Vote Equality!

VoteEqualityUS is a nonpartisan grassroots campaign promoting equality for all Americans. Made up of passionate volunteers, the national movement is working to add the 28th Amendment (Equal Rights) to the United States Constitution. Currently, the U.S. is one of just 28 countries worldwide that does not recognize its citizens as equal under the law, regardless of sex (source: Southern Legal Counsel).

For the visual identity, we created a multi-faceted logo that incorporates a check mark into the “V” (achievement) with the subtle addition of the equal sign (equality). The speech bubble alludes to getting the word out, while the exclamation point emphasizes the urgency for action. An alternate mark with a graphic silhouette of the U.S. signals a national rallying cry.

The streamlined design utilizes a nonpartisan friendly color palette that’s bright, bold and welcoming. From print to web to digital, the aesthetic embodies the brand’s core values of empowerment, inclusivity and credibility.

The new brand was unveiled at Celebrate!38, an equality parade attended by thousands of equality advocates, politicians and national organizations. The event helped to increase awareness of the 28th Amendment (Equal Rights) and celebrate Virginia getting our country one step closer to “liberty and justice for all.”

In less than six months, we got the VoteEqualityUS brand up and running, defining their positioning with a thorough brand strategy, crafting compelling materials that are as attractive as they are informative, and developing a user-friendly website that features real-time tracking of SJ6 legislation, as well as updates on current sitting Senators and Senate races. VoteEqualityUS is poised and ready to make equal rights for all a reality – we’re proud to be a part of making history.
